Balikbayan is a dance piece by Avatara Ayuso dance company AVA that reflects on concepts such as acculturation, migration, alienation, identity, cultural shock and hybridization, based on (but not restricted to) Filipino female migration. Featuring Estela Merlos as a solo dancer.
